Idea

MMORPG interactive scheduler

Target User Group

The younger to middle age general population will be more accepting towards playing a game with a group of friends to improve their ability to follow their schedules, plans and goals.

Problem Description

People rarely follow their own schedule, plans, goals, new year's resolutions, etc.

Problem Context and Forces

Many people create schedulers, planners to perform certain activities but only a few people follow their planners because of a lack of will power. The lack of motivation in pursuing one's goals maybe due to a variety of reasons; being lazy, tired, not enough time, lack of pressure in working towards the goal, momentary lack of concern in working towards that goal, etc. The solution should motivate the user to follow their planner or scheduler as much as possible without taking too much of their time. This could be done through friends helping each other and checking on each other to ensure that they follow on their goal, which can make the scheduler or planner more interactive. Competition between friends can create a motivation for each to follow their own goals.

Solution Sketch

The Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game does not contain one platform with a huge number of random players who do not know each other. Rather, each group of close friends creates a new platform, which all the friends join and use. This network of friends will all build their own schedules with personal goals. The player checks how many goals they completed that day, and then they get the appropriate number of points. Others can check to see that the individual is being honest about the completion of their tasks.

The points that are gained can be used to gain experience for the character in the MORPG. As the character increases in level, it gains various abilities to defeat other characters, and monsters in the land. By defeating other characters and monsters, the character gains money and equipment which they can use to buy better equipment and manage their own farm. The individual with the character that produces the most from their farm and has the most money is the one that will be winning at that point of time. However, the amount of work put in towards the game shouldn't be too much that it takes away from other activities.
