Notes from 2008-11-09 Meeting

  • Fix pace: slow everything down. - Josh
    • backoff algorithm DONE
  • Add two more courses: salad and dessert.
    • salad eating mechanic: just keep stabbing it with fork.
    • dessert (pie eating mechanic): stab it twice with fork, once to cut it, once to put a piece on your fork, then eat it.
  • Before the actual meal starts, zoom in on the plate and utensils. Have player select correct utensils before proceeding with the meal.

  • Ideas for keyboard/mouse controls: keep the left and right mouse clicks. Educate player with tutorial DONE

Storyboard for the tutorial. I can also put one together for the utensil selection, if there's any screenshot of that I can use.

I'm imagining that the main menu will have an additional "Tutorial" button. For this tutorial, the elements that the user is supposed to click or pay attention to are to be highlighted. I put a red circle or red arrow, and possible this could flash colors to grab the user's attention?
