Directions
First, follow the directions to the UC Berkeley campus. The Berkeley Institute of Design spans rooms 354 and 360 of the Hearst Memorial Mining Building. Note that there may be old room numbers written on the doors which are different from the numbers written at the side of the doors.
If you're coming from Hearst Avenue
Head up Hearst Avenue (East) from Euclid Ave, Etcheverry or Soda and enter Cory Hall, the large white building on the south side of the road. You have to exit on the far side on the floor below, so head down any of the stairs in the corners and once you're down aim for the far (southeast) corner. Exit Cory then go straight into Hearst Mining through the double doors opposite (point 1 on the map). Head right then up the stairs at the first left (point 2 on the map). At the top of the stairs turn left. The two doors on the wall in front of you are the two rooms of BiD (point 3 on the map). Knock loudly as we graduate students may be too engrossed in our work and/or sleeping.
If you're coming from Central Campus
Head to the Hearst Memorial Mining Building (north of the Mining Circle on the campus map) and head up the steps to enter through the grand looking entrance (point A on the map). In the large hall head up the stairs to your right (point B on the map) then follow the corridor in front of you around to your left. BiD is at the door at the very end of the the corridor in front of you (point C on the map). Knock loudly as we graduate students may be too engrossed in our work and/or sleeping.
